24 Hour Towing Division was started in 1971 and has become one of the area's leading towing and recovery operations. Our securely fenced storage facility is lit at all times and in combination with our wreckmaster and TRAA certified towing and recovery operators we are able to serve three police departments.
In addition to our towing & recovery services we provide roadside assistance.

In April 1946, George Hruska first opened the door for business at Rockaway Auto Repair located where it still stands today on West Main Street. With his determination and vision he designed and built the repair facility and also built his first tow truck.
Mike is the proprietor of Rockaway Auto Repair Inc. His father, George, founded the business in 1946. At a young age Mike began working with his father as an auto mechanic. As time went on, he established the towing division of the business. Approximately 27 years ago George semi-retired and Mike took the reins and carried onward. Mike now oversees all aspects of the business which include auto repairs, towing, customer service and billing. Mike is also an active automotive technician and a wreckmaster certified towing operator.
Now, some 60 years later, Rockaway Auto Repair, Inc. is still thriving. George's son, Michael, who inherited the same passion for the business, has expanded it to five towing vehicles featuring state-of-the-art technology for both automotive repair and towing services.
